Isaiah 58:12….They that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shall raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shall be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.

God was expressly stating his mind in the verse above; here He was speaking about purpose, His expectation, His vision and the future of His people. He was not seeing them as a group of people only, God views them as seed and as vessels created for a special purpose- a purpose that many generations to come will be blessed from.

Since the average lifespan of man is about 25,520 days (Psa. 90:10). In light of this, don’t you think it would be so wise to use those days fulfilling God’s purpose? God has a purpose for you that is greater than your wishes, ambition, occupation or even your happiness. Look around and see many things with a purpose. Do you know the purpose for your life? , What is your mission statement for life? If you can discover your life’ purpose, it will be the most powerful thing you could ever do for yourself. The irony of life is that most of us have no idea why we were born. We spend our lives in search of purpose. We are on the race track of life; the course of the world and all we do is spin our wheels going around in a circle having the same fears, doing the same routine things, having the same worries and living in a rut of existence.

God ‘ desire is to raise up people that will correct erroneous doctrines, wrong foundations, repair breaches, reestablish old landmarks, create and innovate ideas ,bring up new inventions and restore principles of righteousness, justice and faith. You were not born in this generation to only fulfill personal ambitions , you have the divine mandate of reestablishing God’ counsels for your life, family , nation , what about restoration of old glory, no wonder Nehemiah could not rest until the wall of Jerusalem were built.

How do we repair the breach? By bringing the broken parts together and joining them. When we repair the breach, our streets will literally be restored to be livable and pleasant. It is His vision. We are all called to repair and restore the damage the enemy has done in others lives. When repairing the breach, we should expect opposition because the enemy of our soul is never pleased when this is happening; but, we need to remember that we have overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony.
To restore on the other hand means to bring back into the original condition. Restoration is not an easy task. Consider if a skyscraper collapses – it will take an army size crews to clean up the debris and to build it to its former state. The Bible has numerous examples of how God restores. When God restores a situation or a person, there is something new and better to show for it, ”for there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again” Job 14:7 says.
It is absolutely essential when we are repairing and restoring that only the finest of materials be used. This would include prayer, fasting, the Word of God, the Cross, the Blood, the Name of Jesus and our sincere worship to God. Through repentance, obedience, and intercession, we can see these hedges rebuilt. The number of those who are determined to see the old landmarks (the counsels of God) removed continues to grow; we must be just as committed to the cause of following the old paths of obedience and godliness.
Most people think finding your life purpose means doing something you truly love or an area that just seems natural to you and things just seem to fall into place. But what if things aren’t so clear for you? What if you’re not sure what your gifts are? What if you haven’t discovered any particular talent that makes you think it could be your true calling in life? Or what if you’re working somewhere and you’re good at it, but you just don’t feel fulfilled?. The list below is not exhaustive but they can sum up some of the things you need to do:

 Ask God in prayer and study the Bible, since He is the designer, the architect, the master-builder, the sculptor, and the artist and without Him the true design for your life falls flat and fails miserably. Such a waste of God’s potential; such a waste of God’s impact in the world through your life. Grow up and become His destiny for you. Be completely what He wants you to be. To do so you must surrender to His will, His purposes, His design. The greatest tragedy in life is when we turn our backs on God’s design and purpose for our lives. Ask God to show you day by day His design and function and purpose for you on this earth. Pray to God that you fulfill every jot and tittle of it.

 Listen to the Holy Spirit direction and Godly counsels. What is the witness of the Holy Spirit in your spirit? God speaks to us in various ways; what thoughts, visions, or dreams are impossible to put out of your mind? What stirs your passion? What is your deepest desire? What career, goal, project, and ministry do you feel the peace of God about pursuing? What do people easily volunteer to help you accomplish?
 Be Patient and Trust God. Wanting to know everything right this second is pretty common these days. God isn’t going to show you every piece of the puzzle all at once. If he did, you’d get that “deer in the headlights” look, because you’d be so overwhelmed by it all. God directs events, He puts people in our paths, and essentially He enables us to be in the right place at the right time

 Don’t lose focus: Do not waste your time on things you know are not from God and don’t let people around you talk you into things that are not God’s plan for you.

 Don’t ever give up. You may not know your specific purpose today or tomorrow, but as long as you’re really great at being a Christian, and your heart is open, you will find God and He will find you.

 Finally Take action: Whenever He gives you the little details or the blueprints of your life’ purpose, take action solely by His guidance.

Remember that“Only one life it will soon be past, only what is done for Christ will last!” Will you live faithfully for God and blessing mankind all the way too.
Prayer: My Father in Jesus name, thank You for the specific plan You have for me. Give me the ability to hear Your voice and the courage to follow where You lead. Amen
